About the role
The Senior Finance Coordinator leads the delivery of accounts payable and transactional finance services across the organisation, ensuring purchase orders, invoices, vendor records and payments are processed accurately, on time and in line with NSW Government procurement and financial requirements. Working closely with internal stakeholders and shared service providers, you will oversee supplier administration, support month-end and year-end activities, and help ensure all costs are correctly captured against the appropriate chart of accounts and expense management guidelines.
You will manage and support the accounts payable team, providing day-to-day leadership, work allocation, coaching and development to maintain a high standard of service delivery. The role also plays an important part in strengthening financial governance and continuous improvement, including maintaining procedures and workflow systems, supporting audit activities, and improving processes to enhance compliance, efficiency and data integrity. Your success in the role will require the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple approvals and communicate complex financial and compliance requirements in a practical and accessible way for a range of stakeholders.

About You
You bring demonstrated experience in accounts payable, financial administration and procurement processes, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You will have a sound understanding of contracts, purchase orders and financial milestones, along with knowledge of government procurement requirements and compliance processes. Experience working with media placement invoicing and billing systems will be highly regarded, as will strong working knowledge of Salesforce CRM or similar systems, Monday.com, SAP, and Microsoft Excel and Word.
You are a confident communicator who can build effective working relationships across teams and explain financial processes in a clear and practical way. The role requires someone who can lead and support a small team of Financial Coordinators, providing guidance, direction and day-to-day support to ensure work is delivered on time and to a high standard. You will also be adaptable, quick to learn new systems and processes, and committed to improving the way work is delivered while maintaining strong financial controls and service quality.
