You crave a career that pushes you, where you'll meet challenges head on and you're guaranteed to grow.
You’re called upon to help decision makers identify the options that best match their objectives. This is your opportunity to deliver exceptional services to the people of NSW, create innovative solutions, and foster strong partnerships.
In this role, you'll:
Manage a portfolio of complex, high-value Technology Applications Management contracts across their full lifecycle — from early category planning and sourcing through to commercial management, contract performance, dispute resolution, and renewal.
As the Commercial Contracts Manager, you will lead the end-to-end sourcing process, shaping commercial strategies and driving value at every stage. This includes drafting and reviewing contract schedules, negotiating terms, allocating risk effectively, and ensuring strong value-for-money outcomes.
You will work closely with cross functional project teams to provide expert commercial advice on pricing structures, contract risk, benchmarking, probity requirements and commercial governance.
You’ll collaborate with Technology, Finance, Legal and sourcing managers to ensure commercial outcomes support business needs and align with the Contract Management Framework.
A key part of your role will be conducting face‑to‑face vendor meetings to strengthen commercial relationships, negotiate outcomes and proactively resolve issues. You’ll also maintain accurate contract documentation, records and reporting to meet NSW Government compliance requirements and ensure commercial processes align with industry best practice.
In addition, you’ll act as a trusted commercial advisor to internal stakeholders by providing clear, timely and strategic commercial insights that support decision making across your contract portfolio.

About you
You are a commercially astute procurement or contract management professional with proven experience leading the sourcing and negotiation of complex technology contracts. Confident operating in high-value, high-risk environments, you take ownership of the full commercial and contract lifecycle, rather than simply supporting it.
You bring strong expertise across procurement, commercial strategy, and end-to-end contract lifecycle management, ideally within a public sector or regulated setting. With sharp analytical skills and sound commercial judgement, you can develop and execute strategies that consistently deliver value-for-money outcomes.
You are skilled in reviewing and optimising commercial arrangements, while ensuring compliance with NSW Government policies and internal frameworks. You excel at contract performance management, build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and effectively balance competing priorities. Your ability to communicate complex commercial matters clearly and persuasively sets you apart.
You hold qualifications in Procurement, Law, Commerce, Business, Economics or have equivalent industry experience in contract management within a commercial environment.
Although this role has no direct reports, you bring confidence and leadership to commercial decision making and stakeholder engagement.
