The School of Medical and Health Sciences is home to teaching and research in Medical and Biomedical Sciences, Allied Health, and Exercise and Sports Sciences, as well as in Public, Occupational and Environmental Health. About the Opportunity
The School of Medical and Health Sciences (SMHS) at Edith Cowan University (ECU) is seeking a skilled SharePoint and Digital Systems Coordinator to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the School’s SharePoint environment and associated digital platforms.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role is responsible for designing and building a SharePoint site from the ground up, integrating existing content areas, and identifying opportunities to streamline administrative processes through the development of workflows and system enhancements via Power Automate.
Working collaboratively across the School, the position will coordinate the review and maintenance of website content to ensure accuracy, currency and consistency, while supporting staff to improve how information is managed, accessed and communicated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop and implement a School-wide SharePoint site, including integration of existing site components
Develop and maintain workflows (e.g. Power Automate) to streamline administrative and operational processes
Identify and implement improvements to digital systems and processes to enhance efficiency and user experience
Coordinate and undertake updates to the School’s website, ensuring content accuracy and currency
Liaise with stakeholders across the School to facilitate content review, updates and governance
Provide advice and support to staff on the effective use of SharePoint and digital tools
Monitor and maintain digital platforms to ensure consistency, accessibility and alignment with University standards
Contribute to continuous improvement of digital communications and processes within the School
Support opportunities to enhance digital engagement, including social media (desirable)
About you
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing SharePoint sites from inception, including information architecture and content governance
Demonstrated experience working within Microsoft 365 environments, including SharePoint Online and workflow automation tools such as Power Automate. Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, identify practical solutions and implement improvements
Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
Experience administering and maintaining web or intranet platforms, including coordinating content updates with stakeholders. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
Demonstrated proficiency in standard software applications relevant to the role
Experience or interest in social media and digital engagement (desirable)
