We have an exciting new opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Strategic Sales Team.

As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of a high value customer portfolio. The role focuses on building strong relationships with these key customer stakeholders, developing account growth strategies, coordinating cross-functional support, and delivering value-added packaging solutions aligned to customer and business objectives

The role is responsible for managing and developing strategic customer partnerships across national and multi-site accounts to support long-term sales growth, customer retention, and commercial outcomes.

This is a highly autonomous position, ideal for someone who enjoys being out on the road, building strong face-to-face connections with customers. When you’re not visiting clients, your base will be our Scoresby site, providing a supportive hub for collaboration and planning.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders
Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer and business objectives
Identify opportunities to grow sales, improve margins, and increase customer value
Prepare and present customer proposals, business reviews, and growth initiatives
Support contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and customer retention strategies
Promote Opal’s products, innovation, and cross-divisional solutions while identifying continuous improvement opportunities

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;

Demonstrated account management experience where you have grown share of wallet with an existing customer portfolio
B2B solution selling experience, ideally within the manufacturing industry
The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and customer projects concurrently
Established track record of hunting and closing new business, building relationships and business with new customers
Resilience, plenty of energy and lots of enthusiasm
Some travel required regionally and interstate
