GO Markets is seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Sales Representative (Indonesian Speaking) to support client relationship management and sales activities across the APAC region.
About the Role
Reporting to the APAC Sales Manager, the Technical Sales Representative will play a key role in expanding GO Markets’ APAC client base by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships and delivering expert guidance across our trading platforms, products and services. You will manage the full client journey from prospecting and onboarding through to ongoing account management and support, acting as a trusted point of contact for clients of all trading experience levels.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Client Outreach and Prospecting: Actively reach out to and engage with prospective and existing clients via telephone, email, video, WhatsApp, Telegram and in-person meetings, leveraging directories, databases and referral networks to identify and grow a strong client pipeline across the APAC market.
- Client Relationship Building: Build and nurture lasting, trust-based relationships with Indonesian-speaking and broader APAC clients, ensuring they feel confident, supported and valued throughout their experience with GO Markets.
- Client Support and Retention: Guide clients through GO Markets' trading platforms, address queries in a timely manner, and check in regularly after onboarding to ensure ongoing satisfaction, resolve any concerns, and uncover opportunities for further account growth.
- Needs Assessment and Solution Recommendation: Understand each client's trading background and objectives, whether they are new to trading or already know what they want and match them with the right GO Markets products, platforms and services.
- Market and Product Knowledge: Stay informed with GO Markets' current platforms, products, pricing and services, as well as competitor activity and market developments, to engage clients with confidence and provide well-informed recommendations.
- Market Intelligence and Reporting: Keep a close eye on shifting client needs and the competitive landscape, sharing insights with the APAC Sales Manager and providing regular updates on sales activity, pipeline progress and business outcomes.
- Service Coordination and Records: Work closely with internal teams - including Finance, Trading, Accounts, Marketing and IT - to ensure smooth client outcomes, while keeping CRM records accurate and up to date in line with GO Markets' policies.
Skills and Experience
- Language Expertise: Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both written and verbal). Mandarin is an advantage in supporting GO Markets' diverse APAC client base.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline such as Accounting, Financial Planning or Mathematics.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Technical Sales Representative, preferably within the financial services, forex, CFD brokerage, or fintech sector. Experience working with retail traders, wholesale clients, introducing brokers, or institutional partners will be highly regarded.
- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in a technical sales environment, with the ability to identify client needs, recommend tailored financial solutions, prospect, engage, and convert clients through consultative selling techniques. Proven ability to build strong client relationships and achieve sales outcomes.
- Financial Markets Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial products and markets, including forex, CFDs, indices, commodities and share trading, with familiarity in leverage, margin, spreads, swap rates and order execution models such as STP, ECN and Market Maker.
- Technical Platform Knowledge: Competency in using and explaining trading platforms such as MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and cTrader, with attention to detail in presenting platform features and technical specifications to clients.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with a wide range of stakeholders including clients, compliance officers, platform vendors, and internal teams.
- Passion for Financial Markets: A keen interest in learning about trading platforms and the financial markets industry.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks including ASIC requirements, Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) obligations, Product Disclosure Statements (PDS), Target Market Determinations (TMD) and AML/CTF compliance requirements.
- Systems & Reporting: Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools, with the ability generate detailed sales reports and performance analysis.
- Industry Engagement: Willingness to attend industry events, trading expos, and client meetings as required
