Your Team
The Retirement team, within the CFS Superannuation and Investments business unit, is responsible for the Retirement strategy, product innovation and management, development and delivery of key superannuation and investment products offered in conjunction with our key strategic Insurance partners.
This role reports to the Executive Director Growth & Retirement and operates at the intersection of Customer, Product, Technology, Risk and Operations. The Director plays a critical leadership role in shaping CFS’s retirement product strategy and execution, supporting CFS’s ambition to be Australia’s first choice for retirement and investment savings.
Your Responsibilities
- Define and evolve CFS’s retirement proposition strategy, market positioning and multi-year roadmap
- Align product, distribution and experience to deliver differentiated retirement outcomes
- Lead end-to-end delivery of key retirement initiatives, from planning through to implementation and post-launch optimisation
- Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to expected commercial, regulatory and member outcomes
- Drive embedding of retirement capabilities across advised, direct, employer and bank channels Lift adviser and member adoption through integrated experiences and targeted enablement
- Lead execution of strategic retirement initiatives
- Own governance, performance tracking and benefits realisation at enterprise level
- Deliver clear, engaging presentations and education that builds awareness, confidence and understanding of CFS’s retirement offering
- Represent CFS in external forums, tender processes, roadshows and industry engagements to support distribution and growth opportunities
- Lead adjacent retirement partnerships and supplier governance
- Build high-performing specialist capability across the retirement team and business
Your Capability and Experience
We are seeking a senior leader with proven experience in shaping and delivering retirement strategies within complex, regulated environments into easy to understand and relevant opportunities for our advisers and members.
- Extensive experience leading strategy execution or delivery within superannuation, wealth management or financial services, ideally with exposure across advised and direct channels.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution, including developing and delivering prioritised roadmaps across multiple channels, client segments or distribution models.
- Deep expertise in retirement and post-retirement solutions, including strong understanding of product design and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives at a senior level.
- Strong delivery and governance capability, including risk management, dependency management, and benefits realisation tracking across large-scale programs of work.
- Commercial acumen, with experience supporting business case development, adoption strategies and performance monitoring to drive sustainable growth.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively at executive level.
- Experience driving adviser and member adoption, including partnering with Distribution and Marketing to embed new capabilities and maximise uptake across channels.
