About the team
Our Restructuring and Insolvency team act for major Australian Banks and Financiers, along with insolvency practitioners and corporate clients across all industry sectors. This highly experienced team provides advice on all forms of loan recovery, restructuring and securities enforcement matters, together with corporate insolvency. They also act in commercial dispute matters for corporate clients and handle commercial litigation matters of all sizes in Australian state and federal jurisdictions.
About the role
Working with partners, Alex Smith and Claudine Salameh, we can offer you the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and energetic team on large and complex, often high-profile matters. On a day-to-day basis you will have the chance to:
- Act for Australia’s leading banks on complex restructuring and securities enforcement matters
- Act for receivers and managers as well as administrators and liquidators on the external administration of insolvent entities
- Advise on various complex domestic and international restructuring, insolvency and litigation matters
- Contribute knowledge and learning resources, including precedents
- Participate in business development and client relationship activities
About you

We are seeking Lawyer (3 - 5 years PQE) with strong restructuring, insolvency and litigation experience who has ideally worked in a similar firm on similar matters, or who has been working in-house.
You will ideally have previous exposure to large banking litigation matters, insolvency matters, general commercial litigation, managed investment scheme litigation, loan recovery and securities enforcement. You should be practical and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving skills. A high level of client service is expected, as are excellent organisation, written and oral communication skills.
