As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Business Development Manager to help strengthen our market position, identify new opportunities and drive sustainable revenue growth across our service offering.

About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving strategic growth initiatives across equipment hire, field service, labour solutions and parts sales.
You will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships and supporting long-term growth across key mining and industrial markets.
Working closely with executive, operational, commercial and finance teams, you will help shape customer solutions, lead tender activities and provide valuable market intelligence to support business strategy and commercial performance.
This role offers a strong mix of relationship management, commercial strategy and operational engagement, with regular interstate travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned to growth objectives
- Identify, qualify and convert strategic commercial opportunities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships across mining and industrial sectors
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions and customer solution development
- Drive growth across equipment hire, field service, labour and parts solutions
- Lead tender submissions and support proposal development activities
- Monitor market conditions, customer trends and competitor activity
- Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, CRM reporting and opportunity tracking
- Collaborate with operational teams to align customer needs with delivery capability
- Promote a strong Zero Harm culture and commitment to safe operational practices
About You:
You are a commercially driven relationship builder with strong industry knowledge and a proven ability to generate growth, influence outcomes and build long-term customer partnerships.
You will ideally bring:
- Proven experience in business development, strategic sales or commercial leadership
- Experience within mining, industrial services, equipment hire or related sectors
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with a results-driven mindset
- Demonstrated success securing and growing customer opportunities
- Experience managing tenders, pricing models and contract negotiations
- Strong understanding of mining operations and customer operational drivers
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to identify market opportunities and translate them into commercial outcomes
- Strong organisational capability with disciplined pipeline and reporting management
- Proficiency across CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications in business, engineering or a mechanical trade background will be highly regarded.
