About the Role

Are you looking for a role at an expanding Private Equity and M&A focused Tax practice which offers a platform for professional growth and development whilst working alongside experienced and credentialled Partners and Directors?

BDO has an opportunity for a Manager to join our Corporate M&A Tax team based in Brisbane . In this role, you will be a key member of a dedicated and collaborative team that works closely with a range of domestic and international private equity and venture capital firms, as well as corporate clients, supporting their critical interests and transactions in Australia. The role also provides the opportunity to assist those clients more broadly on global matters as part of the wider BDO International Private Equity & Corporate M&A team.

On joining BDO, you can expect to:

B e engaged across a full spectrum of Private Equity/M&A tax advisory work including t ax due diligence, domestic and international transaction structuring, transaction documentation reviews, modelling, p rivate b inding r uling p reparation and fund structuring

A ct as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on transactions, directly liaising with clients, commercial lawyers, investment bankers, investigating accountants and other service providers

W ork closely with Partners and other Directors across various BDO tax and Corporate Finance, Commercial Due Diligence and other Deal Advisory services teams also engaged on transaction s

Build enduring relationships with clients to develop your professional practice

W ork in an inclusive, supportive and professional environment as part of a wider National Tax team which has significant growth ambitions

About you

Demonstrated Australian tax experience within an M&A/Deals Advisory tax practice at a Big 4 Accounting firm , m id-tier accounting firm or as a Corporate Tax advisor at a Law firm

Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or Law along with attendant Professional qualifications as a CA, CTA or Masters

A commercial understanding of M&A transactions

A proven track record of advising on tax due diligence, tax structuring and fund structuring skills with an interest in developing th ese further

Strong project management, interpersonal and communication skills

A collaborative and inclusive working style, underpinned by an enquiring mindset that is open to new ways of thinking and confident in constructively challenging the status quo
