Delaware North Australia is seeking an experienced Kitchenhand to join our team at Perth Airport on a casual basis. As a Kitchenhand, you will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness, order and efficiency in the kitchen. Apply today and join a team where you will contribute to a first-class dining experience.

What will you do?

Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
Conduct temperature and quality checks, effectively managing cross-contamination to ensure WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards
Support kitchen team members in establishing and sustaining an organised and efficient workspace
Take on cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, waste disposal and management, operating a commercial dishwasher and handling cleaning chemicals
Execute food preparation tasks within a commercial kitchen environment, showcasing excellent food presentation skills

More about you

Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to a work a variety of shifts over a 7 day a week roster including morning, days, and nights
Previous experience as a kitchenhand is preferred
Food Safety Certificate or willing to obtain

Physical requirements

Previous experience as a kitchenhand
Food Safety Certificate
Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
Most shifts will be between 8am - 6pm, however there will be times where a 5am start will be required
