Finance Reporting & Data Analyst

Northern Star Resources currently has a unique opportunity for an experienced Finance Reporting & Data Analyst to join the team at our Subiaco Office, on a permanent & full-time basis.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Systems & Planning Analyst, this role will involve the development and maintenance of group reporting systems, including Power BI and other reporting and planning systems.

Here is what awaits you.

Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for the business and operations, including maintenance of financial data model.
Work closely with finance and operational teams to identify reporting needs and alignment across the group.
Assisting with providing in-depth analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance using Power BI and other tools.
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial data and reporting models across the group finance systems.
Working with other finance staff to ensure consistency and alignment between the finance systems of Pronto, Power BI, Workiva and Anaplan.
Stay updated with best practices in Power BI, data analytics, and financial reporting.
Other ad-hoc finance systems improvement projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree qualified in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or Data Science
CA/CPA or equivalent preferred
Proven experience in Power BI development including data modelling and report visualisation.
Experience in working with large datasets and integrating multiple financial systems.
Comfortable working with DAX, SQL and Power Query.
Strong knowledge of financial concepts, reporting and budgeting.
Good understanding of underlying data structures of Pronto and other finance systems.
Experience in engaging with end-users, providing training, and ensuring BI adoption.
Understanding of mining processes and cost drivers.
Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
