About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and “keen to make their mark” Housekeeping Site Supervisor to lead our team in Brighton-Le-Sands managing the day-to-day housekeeping operations for our client (Five Star Hotel). This role is perfect for an experienced housekeeping supervisor looking to step into a leadership position!
We are looking for a leader who will be key in:
- Managing the on-site training and onboarding of new team members
- Coaching and developing high performing frontline team members
- Conducting performance reviews and mentor the team for success.
- Manage the cleanliness of hotel rooms, corridors, and public areas ensuring high standards.
- Ensuring sufficient stock of amenities and linens are available to the team
- Forecasting required staffing levels and rostering the team accordingly
- Preparing the day ahead by allocating/assigning rooms to the Attendant team, carrying out daily briefings and assigning checklists to the Public Area staff and Housepersons
- Finalising paperwork from the day, filing completed checklists, following up on outstanding job orders and concluding room counts and timesheets from the team
- Communicating at a high level with the Front Office and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth operation
- Managing room counts, timesheets and rostering using hotel & FBM systems
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping site supervisor or supervisory role
- Passionate about Housekeeping and building strong engaged teams
- High level of work ethic and integrity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to guide others in this respect
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced hospitality role
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with the rest of the hotel departments
- A collaborative approach and a positive, problem-solving mindset
- A professional, positive and ‘can do’ attitude
- Proactive, with a passion for continuous improvement
- Experience using Opera, Knowcross, or similar hotel/property management systems
- Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends
