Join Ramsay Health Care’s national Legal team and play a key role in supporting the growth of our Research & Development Network. What You’ll Do
You will provide trusted legal expertise to support Ramsay’s clinical trials and medical research activity, while also contributing to broader corporate, governance and risk matters.
Key accountabilities include:

Advising the Research & Development Network on clinical trial and research arrangements.

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements, confidentiality agreements and related commercial contracts.

Providing clear, practical legal advice across commercial, regulatory and contract matters.

Supporting dispute and litigation-related legal advice where required.

Partnering with internal stakeholders to shape contract strategy and negotiation outcomes.

Developing and maintaining contract templates to improve efficiency and consistency.

Contributing to legal risk management strategies and governance frameworks.

Attending stakeholder meetings to provide legal input into project and research direction.

Working collaboratively across the Legal team, including mentoring and supporting junior lawyers.

Managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes within tight timeframes.
What You’ll Bring
You are an experienced commercial lawyer with strong exposure to healthcare, life sciences or a highly regulated environment, and are comfortable operating as a trusted advisor in a fast-paced setting.

6+ years post-admission experience as a qualified solicitor in Australia.

Experience in clinical trials, medical research, pharmaceuticals, biotech, med-tech or a top-tier/mid-tier firm.

Strong understanding of clinical trial frameworks and regulatory environments.

Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.

Strong commercial judgement with the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice.

Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.

Collaborative approach with willingness to mentor and support others.
