CHEF – Full-Time Position

Location: Slacks Creek, QLD 4127

Salary: $ 76,515.00 – $86,515.00 per year

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Work Location: In person

OML Australia Pty Ltd, trading as Kulcha Kulture, is a North Indian restaurant located in Slacks Creek, Queensland. Inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Amritsar, India, the restaurant specialises in authentic Amritsari Kulchas and traditional North Indian cuisine. Kulcha Kulture is committed to delivering quality food, authentic flavours, and exceptional customer service in a welcoming dining environment.

What You’ll Do

Develop and organize menus, forecast ingredient needs, and manage both food and labour budgets.
Ensure the consistent quality of dishes throughout preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Communicate with management, dietitians, and kitchen and service staff regarding food preparation requirements and any operational issues.
Demonstrate cooking methods and provide guidance to kitchen staff on proper techniques and procedures.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
Implement and maintain hygiene, food safety, and sanitation practices within the kitchen.
Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of kitchen staff where required.
Preserve, store, or freeze ingredients and prepared food as needed to maintain quality and reduce waste.
Manage kitchen operations to maintain smooth workflow and timely delivery of meals.

Qualifications & Experience

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment.
Solid knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
Strong leadership, teamwork, and time management abilities.
Creative mindset with a genuine passion for cooking.
