Join Toll Group as a Category Manager – IT Projects, Melbourne
You’ll lead end-to-end sourcing across a diverse range of IT projects, including software, systems integrators, implementation partners, licensing, and infrastructure. Working at the heart of major transformation initiatives, you’ll play a key role in optimising supplier performance, influencing commercial outcomes, and enabling delivery at pace.
As the Category Manager for IT Projects you will be:
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across IT projects from concept through to delivery.
Develop and execute category strategies aligned to project timelines and business priorities.
Negotiate complex contracts with software vendors, consultancies, and delivery partners.
Act as a trusted advisor to IT and project stakeholders on vendor selection and procurement strategy.
Drive cost optimisation, value creation, and risk mitigation across all sourcing activity.
Manage supplier performance, ensuring delivery against KPIs and SLAs.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Extensive experience (10+ years) in procurement, with a strong focus on IT sourcing
Proven track record across software, services, and technology supplier management
Expertise in negotiation, commercial strategy, and contract management
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across IT, Finance, and business teams
A highly analytical mindset with the ability to deliver insights and drive decisions
Experience working in fast-paced, project-driven environments
