Berowra Cottage Children’s Centre is seeking a passionate, dedicated and nurturing Early Childhood Teacher to join our professional and supportive team.

About the Role
As our Early Childhood Teacher, you will play an important role in planning, implementing and evaluating engaging educational programs that support children’s learning, development and wellbeing. You will work closely with educators, families and the wider centre team to provide a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
· Introduce early concepts in reading, writing, numbers, creative expression and communication through engaging classroom experiences.
· Create stimulating indoor and outdoor learning spaces using suitable resources, activities and teaching materials.
· Facilitate activities that strengthen children’s coordination, independence, confidence, teamwork and interaction with peers.
· Encourage speech, vocabulary and communication skills through books, imaginative play, music, conversations and group activities.
· Monitor each child’s participation, behaviour, learning progress and wellbeing, and identify any concerns requiring further support.
· Communicate with parents and guardians regarding children’s development, achievements, routines and any areas requiring attention.
· Contribute to staff discussions, family engagement activities, centre programs and student placement supervision where required.
· Maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
About You
The successful applicant will be caring, reliable and passionate about early childhood education. You will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to helping children thrive.
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
· Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a preschool or early learning centre environment.
· Sound knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework.
· Strong teamwork and communication skills to engage with children, families and educators professionally.
· Strong practical knowledge of children’s routines, learning support, behaviour guidance, documentation and family communication within an early childhood setting.
