Full Job Description

Are you an experienced Boilermaker / Welder looking for a rewarding career? Griffin Marine Services Pty Ltd, a leading provider of marine services to Defence and commercial operators, is seeking skilled Boilermaker / Welders in carbon and/or aluminium materials to join our growing team.

We have casual and full-time opportunities available in our WA based team working across multiple sites.

As a Welder, your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing blueprints and specifications to grasp job requirements.
Selecting, cleaning, cutting, and shaping metal for welding.
Lining up parts accurately before joining.
Welding metal sections together using various techniques.
Inspecting welds for quality and precision.
Cleaning, polishing, and smoothing welds.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

At least 2 years' experience welding carbon and/or aluminium materials.
A Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Welder.
A strong ability to read technical drawings.
A solid understanding of safety protocols and PPE.
A current driver's license with reliable transport.
The ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
Excellent teamwork skills.
An OHS Construction Induction White Card, Driver's License and eligible to hold a Defence Clearance Access Card (DCAC).

Desirable Requirements (but not mandatory): Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Confined Space Entry, Dogging, Rigging, Fire Sentry Training, and Working at Heights certifications.
