In this role, you will be:
Reporting to the Director of Planning and Scheduling. The Senior Manager Planning and Scheduling will be responsible for leading, planning and managing project scheduling activities across Sydney Metro West project, including the development and maintenance of the Sydney Metro’s Master Integrated Schedule (MIS).
You will ensure alignment across individual contract delivery programs, milestones, and any changes to the overall program framework. Acting as the single source of truth for all project scheduling data, you will provide a whole-of-project view of performance against scope, time, and budget, supporting proactive program and cost forecasting across the Metro portfolio.
In addition, you will be responsible for managing individual Contractor Delivery Programs, as well as supporting the project team with the assessment and validation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
You will also provide expert scheduling advice to support the development of enterprise and project-level processes, ensuring consistent implementation of planning, reporting, and control practices. Additionally, you will lead the management of the MIS across all project phases, from construction through to operational readiness, commissioning, and transition into revenue service.
Key accountabilities include:
You will lead the scheduling team that supports the delivery of the Sydney Metro West project
You will provide program input to support the development of accurate and realistic cost plans as part of the overall Master Project Budget process.
You will oversee the Master Integrated Schedule (MIS) at a whole-of-project level, monitoring progress against approved contract delivery programs and identifying, escalating, and reporting on potential delays or risks.
You will be responsible for managing individual Contractor Delivery Programs, as well as supporting the project team with the assessment and validation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by participating in program-wide reviews of systems, processes, and procedures to enhance project management and operational performance.
You will deliver timely, strategic, and expert advice to the Director on proposed scope changes, including their impacts, to ensure value-for-money outcomes are achieved.
You will lead the development and implementation of robust program plans, including establishing protocols and contingency measures to ensure successful delivery of project milestones across all stages.
