At MaCare Health, we are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred allied health services that empower individuals and families to achieve meaningful outcomes. We are growing our multidisciplinary team and are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join us.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Speech Pathologist to join our growing team delivering participant-focused supports under the NDIS. This role involves working with children, young people, and adults with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and physical disabilities, and other complex needs.

As a Speech Pathologist, you will conduct assessments, develop tailored therapy plans, and provide evidence-based interventions that support participants to achieve their communication and wellbeing goals. You will work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams while promoting participant choice, independence, and inclusion.

This position is available on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

Perform initial evaluations of participants' needs and develop customised therapy plans.
Provide Speech Pathology services to children, young people, and adults with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and physical disability and other complex needs (under supervision as required).
Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualised needs of a diverse population of participants.
Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
Work to educate participants and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
Keeping detailed records relating to participant conditions, support plans, therapies, and progress.
Reporting the progress and current status to appropriate parties, including family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
Identify barriers that may restrict the participant's physical, emotional, cognitive and social development, wellbeing or participation
incorporate Child Safe Standards in their practice when working with children and young people
Report any real or potential risks of harm to a participant, including child and young people
Working within NDIS and government legislative requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent qualification
Registration with Speech Pathology Australia
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status
Current Driver’s Licence
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Eligibility to obtain a Medicare Provider Number
