About The Lizard Centre

The Lizard Centre is a leading provider of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and early intervention services grounded in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). For over 20 years, we have supported children with autism and developmental delays to achieve meaningful outcomes and live their best lives.

As demand for our services continues to grow, we are expanding our clinical leadership team.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Program Lead - Speech to drive the development of an integrated, multidisciplinary early intervention model combining speech pathology and behaviour analytic supports.

This is a strategic, non-caseload role focused on program design, clinical governance and service scalability. You will translate organisational strategy into a practical, evidence-based and commercially sustainable service model that integrates speech and behaviour supports into a single, cohesive clinical pathway.

This role sits within the senior leadership team and directly contributes to the organisation wide clinical strategy.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Design and embed an integrated speech and behaviour early intervention model
Translate clinical and organisational strategy into scalable service delivery
Develop a unified assessment framework across speech and behaviour domains
Design integrated intervention pathways with aligned goals and outcomes
Identify shared, complementary and discipline-specific goal areas
Ensure all programming is evidence-based, outcomes-focused and commercially viable
Define scope of practice and develop co-supervision frameworks for Allied Health Assistants
Align program delivery with NDIS funding structures and evolving reforms (including Thriving Kids)
Provide clinical governance to ensure consistency, quality and compliance

Success in this role

In the first 6-12 months, success will include:

Implementation of a standardised multidisciplinary assessment framework
Delivery of an integrated speech and behaviour clinical pathway
Alignment of the program with NDIS funding and operational requirements
Demonstrated improvement in service consistency, outcomes and scalability
Establishment of a clear scope of practice and supervision model for therapy assistants

About you

You are a senior speech pathology professional with strong experience in early intervention and multidisciplinary environments, and a passion for building integrated service models.

You will bring:

Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership
Significant experience in early intervention and/or paediatric services
Experience working in multidisciplinary allied health teams
Exposure to or working knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or behavioural interventions
Experience in program, service design or clinical leadership roles
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
A commercially aware mindset with the ability to link clinical design to sustainable delivery
A commitment to ethical, family-centred practice

Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Full working rights in Australia

Formal leadership, management or business qualifications will be highly regarded.
