About Us

We are Zambrero. Australia's largest Mexican franchise offering healthy, fresh food while fighting world hunger. We are a quick-service restaurant that offers tasty burritos, bowls, nachos, and tacos filled with homemade guac and other goodies. For you, that means you will always work with yummy fresh ingredients that won’t leave you smelling like you just came from work. Our restaurants are open day and night, so you can be flexible and keep up your work, school and play.

But we are not just a healthy, quick-service restaurant! We also donate one meal to someone in need for every bowl or burrito bought at Zambrero through our Plate 4 Plate initiative.

What you’ll do

Our Shift Supervisor take pride in preparing and serving fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient running of the day-to-day operations in the restaurant.

Leading the restaurant team in efficient day-to-day operations
Being a role model for the standards and behaviours consistent with the Zambrero values and culture
Assisting in managing the team, including hiring, training, performance reviews and rostering
Ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard
Assisting with the ordering of stock from various suppliers
Assisting with office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll and reviewing policies
Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room and general restaurant
Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety

Previous shift supervisor experience

Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to both customers and colleagues
Ability to maintain a professional, well-groomed and neat appearance at all times
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing customer levels as required
Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment
