There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant for a permanent part time role working 24 hours per week. Joining the dedicated, innovative and fun team at Toddler Clinic within PICMHS (Perinatal, Infant & Child Mental Health Services).

ABOUT KARITANE
Established in 1923, Karitane is a dynamic and innovative not for profit health organisation and registered charity providing early parenting services. We support families with children from birth to 5 years of age through building parenting capacity, enhancing parent child relationships and strengthening a family’s connections with supports in their community. Our services are evidence based and delivered by a caring and highly trained professional team of child and family health nurses, social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists offering complete, holistic care.
POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Toddler Clinic within PICMHS (Perinatal, Infant & Child Mental Health Services)

OPERATIONAL BASE: Based at Carramar

STATUS: Permanent Part time (24 hours per week)

RESPONSIBLE TO: Service Manager

INDUSTRIAL AWARD: Administration Officer Level 2A

PURPOSE

The position holder will assist and support Karitane’s vision through the continual pursuit of excellence in providing Secretarial/Administrative Support, which seeks to exceed customer needs and one that is efficient and effective in the safe use of both people and material resources. All Karitane staff provide safe, effective, quality care consistent with the organisation’s mission, philosophy, values and standards of care, and adheres to the Professional Code of Conduct.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA (Each criteria must be addressed in your application)

1. Secretarial/ Administration Experience
2. Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Demonstrated computer skills utilising Microsoft Office Programs, CRM and other relevant platforms that services require.
4. Experience in data entry.
5. Experience in Patient Management Systems E.g. Patient Administration System (PAS)
6. Experience in preparing correspondence, reports and taking minutes.
7. Demonstrated organisational & prioritisation skills.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Permanent Part time employment as per relevant award in accordance with Named NSW (Non-Declared Affiliated Health Organisations Health Employees Staff Agreement.
The majority of Karitane’s services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave.
