About the role
We are seeking a collaborative and analytical Technical Business Analyst to play a key role in shaping and improving business systems, processes and services across NESA. Working closely with stakeholders, users and technical teams, you will identify opportunities for improvement, gather and document business requirements, and help deliver solutions that support organisational priorities and enhance service delivery.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:
- Analysing and documenting business processes, system requirements and user needs.
- Translating business requirements into user stories, epics and solution specifications.
- Investigating business problems and recommending fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Analysing data and information to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and support decision-making.
- Providing advice on system enhancements, technical solutions and business improvements.
- Supporting the delivery of change initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships to support successful business outcomes.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience analysing business processes, gathering requirements and delivering technology-enabled solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex information into practical recommendations.
- Experience developing business requirements, user stories and process documentation.
- Proven ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and customer outcomes.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to balance competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service in a regulated or government setting is highly desirable, with relevant certifications or demonstrated platform expertise preferred.
Essential Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Valid Working with Children Clearance check (WWCC) for paid employment.
Note: A current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance for paid employment is required before commencing in this role. It is not required at the application stage. The cost of the WWCC clearance is the responsibility of the successful applicant.
