Strategically located 35km west of Toowoomba in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, our Beef City Plan employs approximately 1000 team members, with a processing capacity of more than 1,100 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.

About the Role
JBS Beef City is currently recruiting a passionate Recruitment Consultant to join the HR team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Plant HR Manager, this role will be responsible for providing key recruitment support for three sites: 1. Beef City Plant; 2. Beef City Feedlot and 3. Mungindi Feedlot. This role is ideal for anyone with previous Recruitment experience looking to further develop their end-to-end talent acquisition knowledge in a high-volume, fast-paced environment whilst meaningfully engaging with the local community. The annual salary for this role is not less than $79,499.00 plus superannuation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end ownership of recruitment including selection, placement and onboarding
- Liaising with hiring managers to identify workforce requirements, develop position descriptions, and establish candidate selection criteria for vacant positions
- Taking the time to understand the operational environment to support high quality placements across the Plant
- Advertising job vacancies through various recruitment channels, screening applications, conducting interviews, and assessing candidates' suitability against operational and business requirements
- Providing information and guidance to candidates regarding available employment opportunities, employment conditions, remuneration, and onboarding requirements.
- Coordinating pre-employment processes including reference checks, employment documentation, medical assessments, and other compliance requirements.
- Developing effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting the resolution of recruitment-related enquiries and facilitating communication between candidates, hiring managers, and external employment service providers
- Advising managers on recruitment procedures, employment conditions, relevant workplace policies, and applicable industrial relations requirements throughout the recruitment process
- Maintaining accurate recruitment records, candidate databases, recruitment reports, and associated information within HR and recruitment management systems.
- Identifying and implementing recruitment and onboarding improvement opportunities
- Developing relationships within the community to support ongoing community involvement such as local education, sporting clubs and Job Active providers
- Building the JBS employer brand within the community and supporting community initiatives
- Participating in employee engagement, consultation, and workforce participation initiatives to support recruitment outcomes, workforce retention, and effective communication across the business
- Coordinating and attending careers days and relevant careers expos
- Developing relevant marketing campaigns, targeting local areas
- Completing required recruitment reports
About You
- A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification is preferred; however, candidates with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of qualifications
- Previous experience within a similar recruitment role advantageous
- Strong knowledge and understanding of recruitment related laws and legislation including relevant compliance requirements
- Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work professionally and effectively within a team environment
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to provide situational leadership
- Passion for process improvement
- Must have own car and license
