The Team
We are proud to have a strong Class Actions presence nationally, working to secure justice for our clients in some of the nation's most prominent Class Actions, including the Worley Ltd and Blue Sky shareholder class actions, the Stolen Wages and Stolen Generations class actions, and the Ruby Princess class action. The team is led by an experienced and highly regarded Head of Class Actions and assisted by a dedicated team of Practice Leaders, Special Counsels, Senior Associates and other legal professionals.
The Opportunity
At Shine, we champion better justice for our clients. We're seeking a senior administration assistant to join us onsite, in our newly-renovated Sydney CBD office, as a
Legal Operations Assistant to support our
Class Actions team on a full-time, permanent basis. With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be:
- Act as the first point of contact for administrative enquiries from our Sydney CBD-based Class Actions team, including providing ad hoc support to our Head of Class Actions.
- Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and following up on action items.
- Troubleshooting and taking responsibility for data cleanses of class actions' data, directing the transactional administrative tasks, including diving into these transactional administrative tasks too.
- Reviewing the work of the administration assistant team to ensure compliance with time recording policies, and adherence to workflows.
- Organise functions/training sessions and other work-related events, including arrangements for travel and accommodation for attendees as required.
- Undertaking expense management including credit card reconciliation and invoice payments.
- Assist with client management, including complaint process resolution.
- Preparing high-quality presentations, reports, and business papers to support leadership and client outcomes.
- Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ad hoc attendances to Court during trial periods to support our Class Actions team.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in a similar business operations role essential.
- Experience in similar professional services organisations (e.g. legal, accounting, etc.) essential.
- Strong project management skills essential.
- Proven skills in gathering and analysing reports to produce meaningful insights for senior leadership team members.
- Accurate typing skills with intermediate Word & Excel skills.
- A keen eye for detail in your document management and collation skills.
- You’ll be a great communicator both verbally and in writing.
- The availability to work from our Sydney CBD office Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 5:00pm.
