Full Job Description

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a rewarding career? Griffin Marine Services Pty Ltd, a leading provider of marine services to Defence and commercial operators, is seeking skilled Fitters to join our growing team.

We have casual and full-time opportunities available in our WA based team working across multiple sites.

As a Fitter with Griffin Marine Services, your responsibilities will include:

Performing fitting duties on marine vessels and industrial equipment, including assembly, installation, and maintenance.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
Conducting mechanical repairs and fault finding on various systems.
Using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Ensuring work adheres to safety and quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Trade qualification (Cert III or IV) and hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, preferably in a marine or defence sector.
A mature, logical, and methodical approach, with the ambition to step into leadership and/or mentoring roles.
Strong knowledge of tanks, pumps, plant equipment, diesel generators, and engines.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently without direct supervision.
Familiarity with isolations and permits systems.
Demonstrated commitment to Workplace Health and Safety, supported by prior industry experience.
An OHS Construction Induction White Card, Driver's License and eligible to hold a Defence Clearance Access Card (DCAC).

Desirable (but not mandatory) Requirements: Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Confined Space Entry, Dogging, Rigging, Fire Sentry Training, and Working at Heights certifications.
