Permanent Night Shift - job security, no contract end dates
$59.99/h (incl. 30% night shift penalty) OTE $140k+
Yearly increases and EBA-scaled increments
Sunday to Thursday, 10pm–6:10am plus fortnightly RDO
5 weeks annual leave

About the Opportunity

As our Maintenance Technician, you'll report into the Technical Manager & Leads. You'll conduct corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance on Mail Processing Equipment, as well as improving reliability. You may also use SAP to process stock orders and ensure maintenance transactions are accurately recorded.

About the Facility

Build your technical career at Sydney West Letters Facility in Strathfield, a high-volume, automated processing environment where your troubleshooting skills make an immediate impact. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll work hands-on with conveyor and sorter systems, sensors and controls, plus inspection/imaging technology (including camera and measurement devices) that keep throughput moving. Expect real fault-finding across electrical systems, safety circuits (e-stops/24V monitoring) and automated interfaces, with varied breakdown and preventative maintenance work that keeps every shift interesting. This is a great fit for technicians who enjoy electrical diagnostics, automation support, and fast-paced industrial maintenance in a critical operations site.

You'll Be

Keeping processing machines running through preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing complex faults
Maintaining accurate records in SAP
Prioritising safety and compliance in everything you do

About You

Cert III Mechanical Fitter Trade (Must have, or be willing to obtain a Disconnect/Reconnect Licence - we'll support you through this)
Experience diagnosing, repairing and monitoring mail processing equipment is highly regarded
Exposure to PLC & VFD
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication with operations and stakeholders
Understanding of communication systems and information technology
Flexible to work additional hours if required

On-the-job training, classroom sessions and one-on-one mentoring through our 70-20-10 model, plus ongoing coaching from experienced technical leaders.
Initial training (approx. 4 weeks) will be conducted on day shift before transitioning to your permanent night roster.
