About the role

As a Residential Relationship Manager, you're the technical expert who turns our clients' lending dreams into reality. While our Relationship Directors focus on understanding what clients need, you're the specialist who makes it happen through exceptional execution and service delivery.
Your credit expertise directly impacts whether clients achieve their property goals. Every deal you structure, every bank presentation you craft, and every settlement you coordinate represents your commitment to our clients' financial future. You're not just processing applications – you're the technical champion who ensures our clients receive the best possible outcomes through superior service delivery.
Working with our licensed Relationship Directors, you'll take ownership of the complex technical work that transforms client aspirations into successful settlements. Your expertise in credit assessment, deal structuring, and bank relationships enables our brokers to deliver on their promises to clients. Whether it's a first-time buyer, a seasoned investor, or someone with a complex financial situation, your attention to detail plays a crucial role in making it happen.
This role combines sophisticated credit knowledge with genuine client impact. You'll conduct detailed credit assessments, structure complex deals, and coordinate with banks and stakeholders while ensuring every client receives exceptional service throughout their lending journey.

Experience & Qualifications

Degree preferred
Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (required)
Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking (desirable)
2+ years’ experience in residential lending, credit assessment, or mortgage broking
Strong understanding of credit policy and risk assessment
Experience with lending platforms and CRM systems
Proven track record in deal structuring and documentation

Drive Settlement Success Through Technical Excellence:

Take ownership of complex credit assessments, deal structuring, and application coordination under broker direction that directly determine whether clients achieve their property goals. Your technical expertise and attention to detail are often the difference between approval and decline, making your role crucial to client success.

Master Complex Deal Structuring & Bank Relationships

Use your expertise to structure deals that work for both clients and lenders. When challenges arise, apply creative thinking and technical expertise to identify potential solutions for broker consideration. Build strong bank relationships and present deals professionally to maximise approval rates and secure the best outcomes for clients.

Deliver Exceptional Client Experience Through Superior Service

Ensure every client receives outstanding service throughout their lending journey. Your communication, responsiveness, and proactive approach significantly impact client satisfaction and confidence in achieving their goals.

Coordinate Seamless Settlement & Ongoing Client Growth

Manage all aspects of settlement coordination and post-settlement administration to ensure our clients receive a smooth experience and professional service throughout their lending relationship with Avant Finance.

Enable Broker Success & Cross-Business Opportunities

Support Relationship Directors by handling technical complexity, allowing them to focus on client
relationships. Identify opportunities across Avant's services that could benefit clients and refer appropriately.
