Full Job Description

We’re looking for someone to produce visually engaging short form video content for vertical platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

This role involves planning, filming, directing, and editing vertical video content during productions.

The role is suited to someone who actively consumes and understands short form content, including editing styles, pacing, hooks, trending audio, and platform behaviours that help content perform well.

This is a casual, in-person role. Our ideal candidate is a student or emerging content creator looking for flexible work alongside their studies or other commitments. Most productions will take place during standard business hours, so some weekday availability is required.

Other basic production duties may also be taught as part of the role and do not require prior experience.

Applications without examples of previous content, social media accounts, or portfolio material will not be considered. If you’ve only created content for your own personal social media accounts, this is completely fine to submit.

Requirements:

Experience creating vertical video content using an iPhone (or similar device)
Ability to plan and film content for editing
Ability to edit content in a way that maintains visual interest and audience attention
Awareness of social media trends, platform behaviours, pacing, hooks, trending audio, and content styles that perform well
Must provide examples of previous work, social media accounts, or portfolio material

Desirable:

Experience using CapCut or similar editing software
Experience using the Blackmagic Camera App
Experience using an iPhone for content creation
Interest in fashion, beauty, or influencer culture
Experience creating UGC or influencer style content
Own reliable transport (some locations are not easily accessible via public transport)

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $32.31 per hour
