Full Job Description

Great opportunity here for a Jnr-Mid level C++ engineer to work on the trading desk in a global firm. This opportunity will allow you to grow your engineering skills and career working in a hybrid environment.

Role
This role will see you work directly with the traders on a commodities trading desk to help analyse business requirements, then design, develop, test, and deploy new solutions for this desk working with C++ and some Python. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the trading domain and wants to learn more, as you can work directly on the trading system building new enhancements for it. I am looking for someone who understands how to communicate with clients/stakeholders working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

2+ years of C++ engineering experience in a Linux environment.
Some knowledge of Python.
Great communication skills.
Prior experience working in an investment bank, HFT firm, hedge fund, or exchange, is highly favourable.
Knowledge of design patterns, object-orientated programming, and writing algorithms is a bonus.

For this role, it will suit someone who is eager to find a position that will allow them to grow their skills and career over the next couple of years. You will receive great opportunities to learn, not just technically, but also from a domain perspective. The client is working 3 days in the office in Sydney CBD.
