Empower Young Women in Sport and Performance

Loreto Kirribilli is a leading Catholic independent girls' school in the Mary Ward tradition, renowned for academic excellence and a strong commitment to the holistic development of every student.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our Sports Department and play a key role in supporting the physical development, performance and wellbeing of our students. About us

Loreto Kirribilli is a Kindergarten to Year 12 independent Catholic day school for girls. We are a vibrant learning community, continuing a 400-year old, world-wide tradition of excellence in the education of girls. In the many aspects of school life, students are encouraged to be young women who seek knowledge and truth and act with justice.

They are encouraged to be independent learners with a sense of confidence and self-knowledge which is fostered by experienced and committed staff. While academic achievement is a priority, education of the whole child is a key element of the Loreto ethos.

About the Role

This fixed-term, part-time position, available through to the end of 2026, is worked during school term time only across four days per week, with training sessions held before and after school. Reporting to the Director of Sport, you will play a key role in supporting the physical development of students through the design and delivery of engaging strength and conditioning programs that enhance performance, promote wellbeing, and encourage lifelong participation in health and fitness.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement strength and conditioning programs for students in Years 7–12
Support athletic development across a range of sports and skill levels
Deliver safe, effective and engaging training sessions before and after school
Promote best practice in movement, conditioning and injury prevention
Monitor student progress and adapt programs to meet individual and team needs
Collaborate with coaches, PDHPE staff and other key stakeholders
Foster a positive, inclusive and motivating training environment

About You

You are an energetic and knowledgeable coach who is passionate about developing young athletes and helping students achieve their potential.

You will bring:

Qualifications in Strength & Conditioning, Exercise Science or a related discipline
Experience working with adolescents and/or within a school or sporting environment
Strong knowledge of strength and conditioning principles, injury prevention and safe training practices
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to motivate and engage students with varying levels of experience and ability
A collaborative, professional and proactive approach

Essential Requirements

Current First Aid and CPR certification
Valid Working with Children Check
Eligibility to work in Australia
