Location – Parramatta Office (local office negotiable) 50% office attendance required (in accordance with the DCJ Flexible Work Policy)

Employment type – Temporary Full-time until September 2028

Salary – Clerk Grade 7/8 $113,574 - $125,720 plus superannuation and leave loading

Your role

As a Project Officer, you will support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects within Homes NSW, contributing to key initiatives across the Housing Portfolio. You will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and reporting on projects to ensure outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders, you will play a key role in translating project objectives into structured plans, coordinating resources, and tracking progress against milestones and deliverables. The role also focuses on strengthening project reporting, documentation and processes, using data and insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

What you’ll do

Deliver end-to-end project support, including coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Develop and maintain accurate project documentation to support reporting, monitoring, and evaluation, ensuring information is accessible and supports successful delivery.
Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders, coordinating working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate collaboration and keep projects on track.
Gather, analyse, and report on data to monitor project progress, identify emerging risks or issues, and track performance against key milestones and deliverables.
Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and insights, and prepare project briefs to support informed planning and decision-making.

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

A proactive and adaptable professional with the ability to deliver a range of project management and support services in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing tight deadlines, limited resources, and competing priorities.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with a proven ability to balance multiple tasks while maintaining quality and meeting delivery expectations.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and sustain collaborative working relationships across a range of business partners, even when managing competing demands and expectations.
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
