We are a premium, boutique tutoring agency looking for an exceptional, mathematically elite university student to work with a dedicated high school family in Sydney.

This is a unique, high-yield opportunity to teach two highly motivated siblings back-to-back. You will be responsible for mentoring the sister through HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and the brother through HSC Mathematics Extension 2.

Because this role requires shifting seamlessly from foundational Extension 1 calculus to abstract Extension 2 proofs, we are exclusively seeking current STEM students or exceptional mathematics scholars from a Group of Eight (Go8) university.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver High-Level Instruction: Confidently break down advanced mathematical concepts across both current NESA Extension syllabuses.
Extension 1 Focus: Guide the student through algebraic rigor, functions, trigonometric proofs, and 2D vector applications.
Extension 2 Focus: Mentor the student through advanced topics including The Nature of Proof, 3D Vectors, Complex Numbers, and Further Integration.
Scaffold Complex Content: Move beyond rote computation to help students master the "why" behind the mathematics, building structural reasoning and exam confidence.
Structured Block Sessions: Manage a back-to-back timeline efficiently, ensuring both siblings receive dedicated, focused instruction without overlap.

What We Are Looking For

Current Go8 STEM Student: You are currently completing a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or a related STEM field at a top-tier university (e.g., USYD, UNSW).
Academic Excellence: An exceptional high school track record, specifically achieving a Band 6 / E4 in both HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2 (or state equivalent).
Syllabus Familiarity: Deep comfort with the current post-2019 NSW NESA matrix and proof-centric framework.
Communication Mastery: The ability to explain abstract, multi-step problems clearly and patiently. Brilliant computational skills are great, but the ability to teach them is mandatory.
