Full Job Description

Salford College is looking for a qualified and motivated Chef Trainer to join our strong culinary team for our Commercial Cookery Students.

The position is based in CBD and is a stable full time position.

We are looking for the best and brightest for this position.

If you are qualified with at least the Certificate 111 in Patisserie, have relevant and current industry experience over at least 5 years, have Certificate iv in TAE and are passionate about passing your skills level to the next generation, this could be a great career opportunity.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

SIT31021 Certificate III in Patisserie (and preferably SIT40721 Certificate IV in Patisserie) or equivalent.
TAE40116 / TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher).
Current Industry Currency: Substantial, recent hands-on experience working as a Patisserie Chef in a commercial environment.
have good IT skills (MS Suite)
have a sound understanding of training and if possible have trained before
Have very good and clear communication skills
and are motivated and are keen to learn new skills
Can work in Australia
have police and working with children clearance
having prior experience of working with a RTO would be highly considered.

This role is perfect for an experienced Pastry Chef looking to give back to the industry, or an experienced trainer looking for flexible, 1–2 days a week schedules.
