Our Pathway Support and User Services teams are seeking motivated and driven people with a passion for delivering high quality client service in a dynamic tribunal environment.
In these front-facing service roles, you will support applicants and other parties to access the Tribunal and its services, and to understand and navigate the review process. These fulfilling roles involve managing meaningful casework that helps progress cases through the review process to finalisation.
We expect to have a number of full-time ongoing and/or non-ongoing (up to 12 months duration) Tribunal Officer roles available, which may be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. The roles will be hybrid, with onsite attendance determined by the operational requirements of each section.
Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is APS4 - $79,501 - $86,318 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.
About the opportunity:
Working under the direction of a Team Leader and as part of a geographically dispersed team, Tribunal Officers may operate across one or more jurisdictions, depending on operational needs, undertaking functions such as case management support, case analysis, user engagement through various channels, administrative support to users, staff, and members, and quality assurance and training activities for continuous improvement.

Pathway Support
The Pathway Support section sits under the Case Management Branch. This section manages cases across all jurisdictional areas of the Tribunal. Pathway Support teams provide administrative support for case management activities, including communicating with parties, preparing files for case event before Registrars, managing summons and finalising cases resolved during the case management phase.
User Services
The User Services section sit under the User Access and Member Services Branch. This section provides first point‑of‑contact support to Tribunal users. This includes managing email, mail and telephone enquiries and responding to in‑person enquiries at registry counters. User Services also supports a high volume of daily hearings, providing assistance to members and parties, across multiple formats including in-person in physical hearing rooms, virtual platforms and via telephone.
Decisions about section placements will be made following interview for candidates who progress to an offer.

Qualifications / Experience
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in a field of study that might demonstrate some or all of the required capabilities OR relevant experience in a similar work environment OR subject-matter expertise related to one or more of the Tribunal jurisdictions.
Eligibility
- Required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check
