Being a pro-active boutique accountancy firm located in the heart of Sydney CBD, we are seeking to further expand our team with the addition of an accomplished and efficient Business Services/Tax Accountant.
The role:
Job Type: Full-time Contract with Trial period and 3-month probation
. One-week trial starting at 8.30AM daily.
. Expected Start Date: ASAP
. Work in office (on-site) only
. Report directly to Firm's Partner
. On the job training will be provided to the right candidate.
Role Description and requirements:
. Preparation of clear and concise accounting workpapers using our accounting software (Xero Practice Manager, Business Fitness Active Workpapers, etc.)
. Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for all entities, including sole traders, partnerships, trusts, companies, and SMSFs.
. Preparation of BAS/IAS returns, FBT returns, PAYG Summary reports and PAYG withholding variations.
. Work collaboratively with the team and supervise their work to support the development of the team.

Experience required:
. Minimum 3 years of practical accounting and tax experience.
. Able to prepare financial statements and tax returns for Companies, Trusts and Partnerships.
. Demonstrate solid accounting, bookkeeping and taxation knowledge, general taxation legislative and regulatory requirements, GST regulations, and compliance requirements.
. Proficient in using XERO and MYOB (either MYOB Accountants Enterprise or MYOB AccountRight or MYOB Essentials) software including Payroll.
. For SMSFs work: Transaction processing and improving automation via BGL360 (at least 2 years' experience is essential)
. Preparation of SMSF Financial Statements and Annual Tax Returns.
. Liaise with external Auditors as required.
. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
. Able to undertake various tax planning recommendations.

Pay: $82,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
