Degree in Geology + experience in an open pit mining environment
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you’ll provide geological support to the mining operation at Gruyere Gold Mine.
You’ll work closely with the Mining and Geology teams to deliver safe, effective and timely geological outcomes that support production and resource optimisation. You’ll have the opportunity to work across a large-scale open pit operation, contribute to grade control and orebody knowledge, and develop your technical expertise within a supportive team.

What You’ll Do
Provide geological support to the mining operation, including grade control, ore spotting and production activities
Undertake geological mapping, sampling and interpretation to improve understanding of the orebody
Support reconciliation, resource definition and short-term mine planning activities
Collaborate with Mining and Geology teams to deliver safe, efficient and commercially focused outcomes
What You’ll Bring
Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline
Experience in an open pit mining or mine geology environment
Experience with geological modelling, grade control and QAQC processes
Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
A current Australian manual driver's licence
