About the Role
This role is part of the Cyber Security Team, reporting to the Head of Security Strategy and Architecture. You will work closely with the CISO, Cyber Security Teams, Technology, and the business to shape the development and execution of the Cyber Security Strategy for the Woolworths Group.
As the Senior Enterprise Security Architect, you will play a key role in leading the development, maintenance, evangelism, and delivery of our cyber security strategy throughout the Woolworths Group. This position also supports the strategic governance function to ensure the alignment of initiatives—both within and outside of Cyber Security—with the overall security strategy.
What You'll Do

Thought Leadership & Architectural Stewardship: Champion security architecture best practices, fostering a culture of technical excellence and consistency across the team through expert guidance, mentorship, and the establishment of high-quality design standards.

Strategy Development: Develop, maintain, and guide security strategies and architecture frameworks; autonomously compose cyber security and product strategies.

Business Alignment: Map business strategy and outcomes to the Cyber Security strategy, and understand the wider Woolworths’ Technology landscape to form aligned cybersecurity strategies.

Governance & Review: Support strategic security design governance and align security strategy with other IT domains. Provide security reviews for strategic business and IT initiatives (e.g., new platforms, mergers, and acquisitions).

Project & Program Oversight: Oversee large scale security programs. Collaborate on critical Woolworths’ projects to ensure that security issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle.

Security Architecture Support: Provide expert security architecture guidance and support for major project initiatives to ensure security-by-design principles are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaboration & Risk Mitigation: Work with the Cyber Security Leadership team to enforce security requirements, address identified risks, develop security awareness programs, and define an ongoing cyber security services strategy.

Innovation & Improvement: Conceptualise strategic security solutions. Analyze the current technology environment to identify deficiencies, recommend solutions, and apply emerging security technologies and trends where appropriate.
What you’ll bring

More than 10 years of experience in Information Security with proven success in multiple security domains.( Retail experience highly regarded)

At least 4 years of experience as an enterprise security architect for large organisations.

Proven leadership capabilities with excellent communication and presentation skills, allowing you to interact effectively at all levels.

The ability to influence people and outcomes through strong logic and communication.

A driven individual with a passion for security, strong analytical skills, and a proven problem-solving ability.
