Your Role: Advisor, International Sustainability
As Advisor, International Sustainability, you will spearhead the strategic introduction and commercial scaling of sustainability assets across Elanco’s international markets. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing carbon program design, ensuring credible Scope 3 outcomes, and leading the implementation of emission reduction programs globally.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end design and development of carbon programs for international markets, ensuring alignment with global sustainability strategies and operational requirements.
Serve as the primary expert on GHG Protocol, Science Based Targets, and emerging reporting frameworks to ensure robust and credible program design.
Oversee the localization and deployment of the UpLook platform, ensuring data models reflect regional production systems and local producer needs.
Partner with global food chain account leaders to provide technical expertise and support strategic commercialization pathways.
Manage program-level risk and collaborate with Legal and Operations to develop necessary documentation and contracts for successful program operation.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of experience
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainability, agribusiness, or marketing within the animal health or livestock sector
Top Skills: Deep expertise in carbon markets and GHG accounting (Scope 3), combined with a proven track record of leading complex, multi-year product launches
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Deep understanding of dairy and beef carbon footprinting approaches and production systems
Experience with third-party validation and verification engagements
Demonstrated experience in voluntary carbon market consulting or MMRV (Measurement, Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification) design
Proven ability to provide thought leadership through industry panels, working groups, and white papers
Experience identifying and managing relationships with third-party consultants, auditors, and technology partners
