By Modern is looking to build its team with an accountant to work within its accounting team at Norwest office.
Main Duties And Responsibilities: The Accountant is wholly responsible for preparing financial statements, performing financial audits and monitoring financial transactions. The accountant will be in charge of accounts payable and receivable, preparing monthly cost reports to present to the company director, management and operations team to see the company's financial position monthly.
The extensive roles and responsibilities include the following
- Preparing and assisting in taxation preparations and lodgements;
- Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts and sent to companies director and CFO;
- Preparing Business Activity Statement, Taxation and superannuation lodgements;
- Prepare and finalise the following on a monthly basis: Bank reconciliations, Loan, reconciliations, ensure accounts and clients, subcontractors and suppliers are reconciled monthly;
- Ensure income, expenses and other transactions are allocated to respective projects and are allocated accordingly to comply with the Australian taxation laws; and
- Ensure accuracy of profit and loss statement and balance sheet.
Additionally the Accountant would need to fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience:
- Bachelor degree in commerce, finance or accounting;
- Ability to double check work and have an attention to detail;
- Time management, good communication and can do attitude;
- Excellent communication skills; and
- Ability to interpret and investigate design solutions for each individual project.
