About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Disability Support Worker to support a participant based in Truganina with community access and social participation.
This role focuses on helping the participant engage with their local community, build confidence, develop social connections, and participate in activities that align with their interests and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the participant to access the community safely and confidently
Assisting with social outings and recreational activities
Encouraging independence and skill development
Providing emotional support and positive encouragement
Transporting the participant to appointments and community activities when required
Maintaining accurate shift notes and documentation
Building a positive and professional relationship with the participant and their support network
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be confident working independently
Demonstrate initiative and a person-centred approach to support
Essential Requirements
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Working with Children Check
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Valid Victorian Driver's Licence
Comprehensive Car Insurance
Reliable and roadworthy vehicle
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
Current COVID-19 Vaccination Evidence (if applicable)
Desirable
Previous experience in disability, mental health, community services, or aged care
Qualifications in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, or related fields
