About the role
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to join our team on an 18-month maximum term contract . In this role, you’ll establish and lead the end-to-end testing and test automation function for a large-scale Payroll and Workforce Management transformation program.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the testing strategy across payroll, workforce management, people systems, integrations, reporting and data migration workstreams.
Working closely with payroll SMEs, business stakeholders, technology teams and implementation partners, you will ensure solutions are thoroughly validated, compliant and ready for deployment.

What you’ll do
- Develop and execute the end-to-end testing strategy across payroll, workforce management, people systems, integrations, reporting and data migration
- Lead all phases of testing including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, payroll parallel testing, dress rehearsals and production readiness activities
- Establish and embed a fit-for-purpose test automation framework to improve efficiency, coverage and quality outcomes
- Coordinate testing activities across business SMEs, payroll teams, technology teams, implementation partners and vendors
- Oversee defect management, quality assurance reporting and risk mitigation activities
- Ensure solutions are validated against business requirements, legislative obligations and payroll compliance requirements
Support cutover, deployment and go-live activities to ensure a successful transition into production

What you’ll bring
- Proven experience leading testing functions within large-scale payroll, workforce management or HCM transformation programs
- Experience developing and implementing test automation frameworks, tooling and best practices
- Strong knowledge of enterprise testing methodologies, governance and quality assurance processes
- Demonstrated understanding of payroll compliance, awards, enterprise agreements and workforce management processes
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and business teams
Ability to manage competing priorities, dependencies and delivery risks in complex environments

- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) experience
- UKG Workforce Pro experience
- Experience with enterprise test automation tools and frameworks including TestAssure
- Payroll cutover and deployment experience
Experience within retail, healthcare, pharmacy, logistics or similarly complex workforce environments
