This senior role collaborates closely across Sales and Marketing to drive strategy, planning and execution based on marketing plans that are aligned to the objectives for the ANZ sales area. The Area Marketing Manager (AMM) is the single point of contact to the Sales leadership team, and owns strategic marketing, planning, project management & execution leveraging the full breadth of Marketing to deliver against the specific market requirements and opportunities. This role will be an integral part of the senior leadership of the NetApp ANZ business.
Business Objectives of the Role

Contribute to the pipeline for the ANZ business via marketing demand generation effort.

Via holistic marketing strategy, tactics and execution influence and move customers from top to the bottom of the funnel –effectively embracing brand to demand initiatives

Drive business growth by expanding footprint in existing customers led by NetApp product innovation. Complement this with supporting growth via new customer acquisition.

Understand the data & analyze ANZ area market opportunities and challenges; build and align ANZ area marketing strategy to help meet the needs of the sales organization while understanding marketing priorities.

The ideal candidate brings a balanced approach to the role, demonstrating an even mastery between data-driven operational planning and creative, programmatic marketing execution.

Act as the single point of contact to the sales leadership team in country or area and communicate the needs of Sales to our marketing teams, and vice versa.

Collaborate cross-functionally across the marketing organization to create one joint marketing plan for the area that delivers the highest impact on pipeline and opportunity generation.

Budget management, allocation guidance & ownership for the area.

Identify marketing strategies to help drive penetration in accounts as well as new logo acquisition.

Be an active pivot between Sales/Field in an area and the broader Marketing functions across a geo or WW.

Support the planning and execution of relevant Sales plays together with the local Field leaders.

Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts learning from the successes and failures, driving best practices, and enhancing marketing performance.

Proven experience navigating the sales-marketing interlock is essential, specifically the ability to build trust, establish credibility, and successfully collaborate with a highly seasoned and tenured sales organization.

Strong and tenured experience in B2B marketing leadership roles, preferably from technology organizations.

Extensive experience in ANZ marketing, with a deep understanding and proven track record.

A Bachelor/Masters degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is required, with a strong foundation in B2B marketing principles and practices.
