The HR Advisor – Talent Acquisition & Onboarding is responsible for leading the end-to-end talent acquisition, onboarding, and internal mobility processes to ensure Rosebel Gold Mines attracts, selects, develops, and retains high-performing talent. The role serves as a strategic partner to business leaders by aligning workforce planning, recruitment, internal promotions, career development, and succession planning with the Company's operational and business objectives.
The incumbent develops and implements innovative talent acquisition strategies, manages employer branding initiatives, and leads HR projects, including job fairs, campus recruitment, internship and graduate programs, and partnerships with educational institutions and local communities. The role is also responsible for delivering a best-in-class candidate and new hire experience by overseeing recruitment systems, coordinating the 30-60-90 Day Onboarding Program, and ensuring effective employee integration.
Additionally, the HR Advisor provides data-driven insights through recruitment and turnover analytics, conducts exit interviews, identifies opportunities to strengthen employee retention, and supports the development of sustainable talent pipelines and leadership succession. By fostering strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders, the role contributes to building a capable, diverse, and future-ready workforce that supports Rosebel Gold Mines' long-term business success.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Talent Acquisition Strategy, Workforce Planning & Internal Mobility

Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with business objectives and workforce plans.

Partner with hiring managers to assess current and future workforce needs, recruitment priorities, internal promotions, career development opportunities, succession plans, and critical talent requirements.

Lead recruitment strategy meetings and provide strategic recommendations on workforce planning, talent availability, and market trends.

Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for current and future business needs, while promoting internal mobility and career progression.
2. Recruitment, Selection & Talent Management-
Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessment, selection, offer management, and pre-employment processes.

Oversee the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and maintain accurate recruitment metrics and candidate records.

Deliver an exceptional experience for candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders through proactive communication and service excellence.

Train hiring managers on competency-based interviewing, selection methodologies, and recruitment best practices to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant hiring decisions.

Support talent reviews by identifying high-potential employees and facilitating internal promotions, career development, succession planning, and leadership pipeline initiatives.
3. Onboarding, Employee Development & Offboarding-
Design, implement, and continuously improve the 30-60-90 Day Onboarding Program to accelerate employee integration, engagement, and retention.

Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure employees successfully integrate into the Company's culture, values, safety standards, and performance expectations.

Collaborate with managers to support employee development plans, internal career progression, and successful transitions into new roles.

Manage the employee offboarding process, including exit interviews, analysis of turnover trends, and recommendations to improve employee engagement and retention.
4. Employer Branding, HR Projects & Talent Development Programs-
Lead and manage HR projects and talent attraction initiatives, including job fairs, campus recruitment, career development fairs, internship and graduate programs, apprenticeship initiatives, and partnerships with educational institutions and local communities.

Coordinate project planning, budgeting, logistics, stakeholder engagement, communications, and event execution to ensure successful delivery and measurable outcomes.

Strengthen Rosebel Gold Mines' employer brand through innovative recruitment campaigns and strategic talent attraction initiatives.

Support the implementation of talent development programs that enhance employee capability, leadership readiness, internal promotion opportunities, and succession planning across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have:

A bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and senior recruitment and onboarding of new hires.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced working knowledge of Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data management, formulas, functions, PivotTables, reporting, and data analysis.

Experience in project management, event planning, and stakeholder coordination.

Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English and speaking knowledge of Sranan Tongo.

Willingness to work at the Rosebel Gold Mines site, primarily in Brokopondo, on a rotational schedule of five (5) consecutive working days (Monday to Friday), followed by two (2) consecutive days off, in accordance with operational requirements.

If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goedgedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.

Working Conditions – HR Advisor
The HR Advisor – Talent Acquisition and onboarding works in a combination of office and field environments at the Rosebel Gold Mines operation. The role requires regular interaction with hiring managers, employees, candidates, contractors, and external stakeholders.

Primarily based at the Rosebel Mine Site in Brokopondo, with regular travel between the mine site and Paramaribo as required.

Standard work schedule of 5 days on / 2 days off (Monday to Friday), 12 hours per day, with occasional additional hours to meet operational recruitment priorities.

Regular field visits to operational departments, workshops, processing plants, and contractor work areas to support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities.

Regular participation in recruitment campaigns, career fairs, community outreach programs, networking events, and educational institution visits. The role requires flexibility to attend recruitment activities during and outside normal working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as operational and business needs dictate.

Exposure to mining site conditions, including dust, noise, heat, uneven terrain, and varying weather conditions during field activities.

Required to comply with all Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), security, and site access requirements, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when entering operational areas.

The role involves managing multiple recruitment processes simultaneously while working under tight deadlines and changing operational priorities.

Occasional travel, weekend work, or extended hours may be required to support recruitment events, onboarding activities, emergency hiring needs, or other operational requirements.
