Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistants to join our hospital on a part-time basis. In this role, you will provide essential support across a range of hospital departments, working closely with clinical teams to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Certificate III in Aged Care or Health Services who is passionate about delivering high-quality care in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
You will contribute to patient comfort, safety, and dignity while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities

Support clinical and non-clinical staff in the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and transport throughout the hospital, including to and from diagnostic areas.

Perform ward bed moves and provide general patient handling assistance using approved equipment and techniques.

Assist patients on admission and help them settle comfortably into the ward environment.

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in patient rooms and shared areas in accordance with infection control standards.

Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes.
About You
You are compassionate, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
You will also bring:

Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Services, or Care Support (desirable).

Minimum of 12 months’ experience working in an acute setting is preferred but not essential

Sound knowledge of infection control, manual handling, and workplace safety procedures

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
Desirable qualifications and experience:

Currently studying Nursing (Year 2 or 3).

Certificate IV in Health Services Assistance.

Additional Information
