About the Role
The Site Support Officer provides essential operational support to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of site services.
This role plays a key part in enhancing village and site satisfaction by coordinating contractors, managing procurement activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
This is a full-time role on an 8/6 day roster.
As a Site Support Officer, you will:
Manage procurement processes, including raising purchase requisitions, receipting goods and services, and monitoring budgets
Identify and support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Coordinate contractor mobilisation in line with operational requirements, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards
Support site communications through pre-start meetings, notifications, and engagement with on-site personnel
Conduct in-field engagements and inspections to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance
Ensure safety incidents and near misses are reported and assist with investigations and corrective actions
Coordinate Business Support events and site visits, ensuring seamless logistics and positive stakeholder experiences
Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is completed to approved scopes, company standards, and site expectations
About You
You are an experienced Support Officer with a strong focus on process improvement and operational efficiency. You enjoy working collaboratively across teams and take pride in delivering high-quality site services.
Additionally, you will have:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with SAP or similar systems
Current C-Class manual driver’s licence
Knowledge of safety systems such as CHESS or INX
Experience in operational coordination, site support, or hospitality/facilities management
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
About Telfer Operations
Telfer is a long-life gold-copper mine in the Paterson Province of Western Australia’s East Pilbara region. The operation includes both open-pit and underground mining and Australia’s third-largest gold-copper processing facility. Since commencing production in 1975, Telfer has produced over 15 million ounces of gold. The site operates on a fly-in fly-out basis and offers a wide range of onsite recreational facilities to support workforce wellbeing.
