Located in the heart of Sydney CBD, we serve a loyal clientele of business professionals and long-standing guests who appreciate exceptional food and service.
We are looking for a reliable, organised and motivated Office Assistant (Reservations & Administration) to join our friendly team.
This is a casual position (approximately 30+ hours per week), with the opportunity to transition to permanent part-time or full-time for the right candidate. Immediate start is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage restaurant reservations and customer enquiries via phone and email
- Coordinate private dining, functions and special events
- Maintain customer databases, booking systems and office records
- Provide general administrative support to the management team
- Coordinate office supplies, purchasing, maintenance and repairs
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and service providers
- Assist with updating restaurant information, menus and promotional materials when required
- Perform other general office administration duties as required
About You
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Friendly, professional and customer-focused communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A willingness to learn about Japanese hospitality and culture
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in office administration, hospitality administration or a similar role
- Experience with reservation systems such as ResDiary is highly regarded
- Experience with WordPress or Wix is an advantage
- Business Administration or Hospitality qualifications are preferred
Language Requirements
- Professional written and spoken English
- Professional Japanese language skills are required
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
10.00 am – 4.30 pm
Working hours may vary depending on business requirements and special events, by mutual agreement.
Employment Type
Casual (approximately 30+ hours per week), with the opportunity to progress to permanent part-time or full-time.
Pay
A$35.00–A$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
