Join the Team
As a Portfolio Assurance Lead, you will provide independent, evidence-based assurance across complex, system-wide digital health transformation programs. You’ll give confidence to executive decision-making by assuring multiple programs of work at their critical milestones to inform a consolidated position on delivery confidence, inform critical decision gates, and identify and monitor dependencies and risks.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and deliver independent readiness assessments across multiple programs, at key milestones and critical decision gates.
- Drive and coordinate program health checks and portfolio assurance activities, providing clear, actionable insights to support executive decisions.
- Identify and escalate delivery risks, control gaps, and readiness issues across programs and partner entities.
- Design and implement assurance frameworks, artefacts, and reporting to embed consistent, high-quality assurance practices.

About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working at the intersection of governance, delivery, and risk, and bringing clarity and confidence to complex program decisions.
We are looking for someone who:
- Brings extensive experience in large-scale transformation programs, with a strong background in delivery and/or assurance.
- Has deep expertise in project assurance, audit, and risk management, with the ability to identify and assess complex delivery risks.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills, able to synthesise multiple inputs into clear, decision-ready insights.
- Maintains independence and objectivity, confidently engaging senior stakeholders and escalating critical issues where required.
- Takes a pragmatic approach, balancing best practice with real world application and maturity.
Qualifications and experience:
- Relevant experience in assurance, audit, risk, or program delivery roles within large, complex environments (government or health desirable).
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, business, risk/audit, or a related field (desirable).
