About the role
Our company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Head Office team in South Windsor, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the company's accounting operations and contributing to our continued growth and success.
You will work closely with internal departments, vendors, and clients to ensure accurate financial management and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial documents including invoices and accounts payable/receivable
- Record financial transactions accurately in accounting software
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Maintain organized financial records and filing systems
- Process payroll and manage expense reports
- Prepare and update spreadsheets and financial reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and monthly financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations (including GST), and internal policies
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters
- Perform general administrative duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
· Previous experience in accounts, finance, assistant accountant, accounts payable, accounts receivable or similar finance support role.
· Relevant studies in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
· A degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
· CPA or CA qualification is not required for this role, although working towards a relevant qualification will be viewed favourably.
· Solid understanding of accounting practices and terminology.
· Good working knowledge of finance systems and reporting tools.
· Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
