About Beerfarm
Beerfarm was founded in 2015 on a 1940s dairy farm in Metricup, in the Margaret River Region. Once an old dairy farm, we converted the hay shed into a tavern, built a brewery in the roundhouse and created a name for both a destination and a brewery that would serve straight-up beer and food. Australian-owned and stridently independent, we’re built on grit, determination and the desire to do better. We are more than just a purveyor of high-quality beer and cider. Our unique taphouse in Metricup, WA, has become a go-to spot for both locals and travellers, serving 'paddock to plate' food experiences, and of course, great beer and good times. Plus, our new, cutting-edge production facility in Perth will be a game changer for the brand, as more fans discover our beers, ciders and more! In essence, we are a farm, a brewery, a hospitality venue. We are driven to learn and progress as a team, continue doing things a little left of centre and make sure to have fun along the way. 'Cultivating Good Times' is what we're all about and we're on the hunt for team members who want to come along for the ride!
About the Role
As our Packaging Operator, you'll play a hands-on role in bringing Beerfarm's beers to life, quite literally. Sitting at the heart of our production operation and reporting to the Packaging & Warehouse Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring every can, bottle, and keg that leaves our facility meets the quality and consistency that Beerfarm is known for. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and genuinely loves beer.
In this role you will be:
-
Operating and maintaining the canning line from start-up through to shut-down
- Canning, kegging, cleaning, and filling to our quality standards
- Setting up packaging materials in line with the production schedule
- Performing and recording pack integrity and quality checks
- Wrapping, labelling, and coordinating pallets with the logistics team
- Moving product and packaging using a pallet/forklift truck
- Carrying out equipment maintenance, hygiene, and cleanliness duties
- Supporting warehousing functions including receiving and storing raw materials and finished goods
- Logging packaging, quality, maintenance, and cellar data in Netsuite
- Pitching in with brewing and cellaring tasks as needed - think dry hops, milling in, and spent grain removal
About You
You're someone who takes real pride in doing things properly - detail-oriented, self-motivated, and happiest when you're part of a team that's working toward something great. You don't need to come with a brewing CV, but you do need to bring genuine enthusiasm for beer, a willingness to roll up your sleeves, and the kind of attitude that makes the people around you better.
You'll bring:
-
A passion for beer and a genuine curiosity about how great product is made
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- An eye for detail and a commitment to quality in everything you do
- An innovative mindset when it comes to problem solving
- A drive to continuously improve - both yourself and the way things get done
- Alignment with the Beerfarm values: Considered, Belonging, Pioneering, and Genuine
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (desirable, but not essential)
- Forklift certification (desirable, or a willingness to obtain one)
We are looking for someone who is an Aussie Permanent Resident or Citizen as 482/494 sponsorship is off the menu at the moment. Most importantly, you’ll be a bloody good person and an ambassador of the brand who deserves to join this exceptional team.
About the Process
We’re committed to improving the diversity of our teams and industry, so if you don’t have the relevant experience but are part of a group that is under-represented in the hospitality industry we would love to hear from you. We are committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace and we’d love to hear from people who want to be part of that.
If this sounds like your next career move, what are you waiting for? Apply today with your CV and a brief spiel about you, so we can get to know you a bit and we will hope to meet you and taste your food soon!
